Tralee Boxing Club To Receive Over €1m For New Community Facility
THE Government has announced that 42 Kerry projects will receive €4,403,073 in Community Recognition Funding.
The major initiative is designed to support and reward communities that have welcomed families and citizens from Ukraine and other countries.
Among the projects in Tralee to receive funding are Tralee Boxing Club who will receive €1,003,653 to build a community facility to facilitate Tralee International Resource Centre, Tralee Boxing Club and other community services.
Tralee Pitch and Putt and Sports Club were allocated €40,000 for the upgrade of a derelict tennis court adjacent to Tralee P&P Course & Clubhouse while Tralee International Resource Centre (TIRC) will receive €151,000 for Office / room refurbishment as more space needed to support community for English classes, meetings, activities. The details of the announcement were made by An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, Minister for Rural and Community Development Heather Humphreys, Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly and Minister of State Joe O’Brien.
